These Tenkara lines are traditional furled lines with a taper built in. They are designed specifically for Tenkara rods and Tenkara fishing. They work great!
The Standard Thread listed here tends to work better with large flies and heavier tippets. We prefer the thread over mono for lighter, more delicate fishing like dry flies in general. Some prefer these also for some of the heavier Tenkara rods like the Amago Series.
These Tenkara Thread leaders come with a loop at the end, a connector to attach to the Lilian and a tippet ring on the front.
