The Purple Haze Fly is a great little soft hackle that has found a permanent place in our bins and boxes. This fly works for trout all year round as a searching pattern but also works great when the micro caddis are hatching in the late Summer and Fall.
Fished as a nymph, swung as a wet, or even fished as an emerger, this pattern flat out catches fish. It has a great look and a sexy sparkle to it that just seems to get their attention. It's a great one to hang off of a dry as well.
