Hook and Hackle Pliers

A basic plunger style hackle plier that has been around for years, but is making a strong comeback! This model is a favorite of legendary tyer Tim Flagler and has been featured in many of our YouTube videos. Our own Brian Flechsig is using them as well, especially on his soft hackled flies. A good, basic pair of hackle pliers that grabs the stem of the feature with a retractable "hook".

Also quite a few other uses.....holding hooks, displaying or photographing flies...and, even an egg yarn dispenser, with some modification. (See our YouTube Channel).

A great tool to have in the kit and a nice alternative at times to traditional "squeeze" style pliers.
