Travel Policies and General Info

Mad River Outfitters is proud to offer a wide selection of fly fishing excursions. All of our trips are tried and tested before we offer them to the public and are done in conjunction with some of the best outfitters and guides in the business.

We serve as a full booking agent for these destinations and many others. Most of the trips listed here are hosted by US...but we also serve as full booking agents and outfitters for each and can set you up with a trip at any time. Below is some basic information on how our trips work as well as a few important policies. 

* Mad River Outfitters Fly Fishing Trips are designed to EXCEED your expectations and we have been going to great lengths for nearly 30 years now to ensure this.

* Our trips are conducted with some of the finest Outfitters and Lodges in the business. These are follks that we know and trust.

* Most of our trips are hosted by a Mad River Outfitters employee or partner. This information will usually be provided on the Trip Information page. One of us this there to ensure that you have the trip that we promised!!!

* Individual bookings are almost always available if you are not able to make it on one of our trips. Let us custom build a trip for you around your dates. There is never a fee for our booking services.

* A detailed Trip Information Packet will be sent to you once we receive your reservation but never hesitate to ask questions before or after.

* Travel to-and-from the Destination is never included. You need to get to the Destination from your location. We are not a licensed travel agent so we cannot "sell" you airfare. We will although make recommendations on when and where to be and in some cases recommend particular airlines/travel services.

* 50% Deposits are required on all Trips to reserve as spot and Full Balances are due 90 days prior to the trip departure (specified on each trip Info page). Any cancellations must be made by this time also. Please read our Cancellation Policy below.

* We serve as full Outfitters for each of these trips and having "been there and done that", we can surely help you with tackle, flies, etc. You can call us for a consult at any time at 614-451-0363

* Trip Insurance is HIGHLY recommended for all trips and available through a variety of insurance companies.

DEPOSIT & CANCELLATION POLICY

 

Mad River Outfitters will require a deposit equal to 50% of the designated fee in order to secure a reservation for any of our legendary fly fishing trips. Once your deposit has been received, you will be assured space for a specific date and destination. By making a deposit, you are also agreeing to our Cancellation Policies set forth here and in the trip information. Final payments are due at least ninety days prior to the trip date and in certain circumstances even sooner. This will be notated on your Trip Confirmation Sheet.

If you need to cancel a reservation and receive a refund of your deposit/payment, we must be notified at least ninety days prior to the trip which you have reserved. Should you need to cancel with less than ninety days notice, we will make every effort to rebook your spot on that particular trip and refund your deposit/payment. However, if we are unable to find another client for your spot, we will not be able to return your deposit/payment and full payment will be required. Unfortunately, we cannot make any exceptions. We must uphold this policy, regarless of the circumstances.

• Late final payments may be subject to a 5% late fee

• Any and all cancellations outside of the 90 days are assessed a $50.00 cancellation fee that will be deducted from your refund

We hope that you understand the necessity for this policy to insure that we can continue to run our trips and classes on a sound financial basis. We realize that emergencies do happen, and please know will make every effort to re-book your spot, but if we don’t, we must uphold this policy, even in the case of an emergency.

* Weather/Water cancellations are strictly at the guides/outfitters discretion

* Trip insurance is highly recommended and can certainly protect you should you have to cancel within the 90 days.
