Few experiences are more thrilling than watching a smallmouth bass leap through the air at the end if your line. Wading or floating an Ohio stream is a great way to experience nature and an opportunity to catch this exciting fish. Our Lake Erie trips will have you feeling like you are on an exotic "island vaction", right here in Ohio.
Naturally reproducing smallmouth bass populations are found in reservoirs and streams in Ohio and of course Lake Eire. Catch rates are often higher in streams because smallmouth bass are more common in streams than reservoirs and the stream fish are often concentrated in specific areas. Lake Erie, and it's tributaries are very well known as some of the best smallmouth bass fisheries in the country.
Local waters guided include the Olentangy River, Scioto River, the Kokosing River and many, many others in addition to Nearshore trips on Lake Erie and the Lake Erie tributaries. Walk-in trips as well as float trips and boat are available. Our season typically runs from mid-March through early November.
Smallmouth fishing in Central Ohio can be good to excellent at times and you will be pleasantly surprised by some of the trophy fish that we often catch on trips. Cost: $425.00 walk-in, $525.00 float trip or boat trip, each per 1-2 anglers
$100.00 per additional angler on walk-ins
Season: Smallmouth Bass season begins in March and lasts through October and into November.
