Furled Leaders- 5'

Furled leaders excel at dry fly fishing. They are super easy and typically last a long time.  Add 2 to 4 feet of your favorite tippet, or "transition" and tippet and go fishing!

These are the 5', thread furled which tend to be little more limp than mono and really work well for achieving great floats and drag free drifts. We prefer these for dry flies. They contain a loop on one end to easily attach to your fly line and a small tippet ring on the front end so that tippets can be tied on with a clinch knot. The tippet ring also ensures that you won't risk cutting into the leader when you are changing tippets. The tippet ring can easily be cut off and a transition "connector" (3X) attached via snell/nail knot if you prefer not to have the tippet ring (see our YouTube video). 

We do recommend a short piece of 3X (6-8" or so) as a transition piece off of the butt section if going down to tippets of 4X to 7X. For 6X and 7X we have even found a short piece of 4X, then tippet as well can help turnover.
