A classic bucktail streamer in the Royal Coachman pattern. Just doesn't get more traditional than this fly. Great attractor! Right up there with the Mickey Finn and the Black Nosed Dace. This one should be in your box.
These, as are all standard bucktail streamers, are excellent for low and clear water and typically smaller fish. This coloration is particularly good for brook trout and rainbow trout. They are designed to be fished in the upper part of the water column but don't be afraid to add some split-shot and get it down there.
