The Echo Overcast Fly Rod Series was designed by Flip Pallot and built for maximum line speed in freshwater and saltwater conditions.

When Flip Pallot challenged ECHO to answer a simple question- "Who wouldn't want more line speed?"- The OverCast series was born. Designed in collaboration with Tim Rajeff, OverCast fly rods are purpose-built for anglers facing the usual challenges: wind, distance, accuracy demands, and heavier flies.

After extensive testing, the team determined that increased line speed starts with a precisely engineered, longer lever. The result is a 9'3" rod that balances power, control and casting efficiency without compromise. Flip's vision pushed ECHO beyond traditional design limits, prioritizing performance over cost and redefining what a high-end freshwater/saltwater fly rod should be.

Legacy Design

Though Flip passed before final production, his vision, creativity, and passion are fully realized in the Overcast rod series. Flip's Overcast will remain his lasting legacy at Echo and a benchmark for their future rod designs.
