Kelly Galloup's Barely Legal is for sure one of our best selling flies of all-time. This is the "mini" version of that, tied with quite a bit of Laser Dub so therefore dubbed the "Laser Legal".
The Laser Legal fly is destined to become one of the best selling "small" streamers. It's of course articulated and has a size 4 hook up front and a size 6 in the back. Tied just like a Barely but replaces the wing material with brown and olive laser dub and also has quite a bit of white laser dub jammed up at the head to create some bulk. Also features a black bead head as opposed to the conehead on the original and the body is weighted as well. It gets down, but the Laser Legal fly can still easily be tossed on a 4wt or 5wt.....even floating line is acceptable.
