Clawdad - Kraft's

The Clawdad is another innovative fly brought to us by the Legendary Chuck Kraft. This famous fly has been described by some as one of the greatest crayfish pattern of all time. Over the last few years, this fly has become the "go to" crayfish pattern for our Smallmouth Guides around here. 

The simple, yet innovative use of the chamois like "claw" material combined with a unique application of rubber legs make this thing come alive. Lead eyes get it down and cause it to ride hook up, of course. Certainly an impressionistic type fly that just flat out works. This crawdad pattern fly has quickly become a best seller for us around here.
