A Soft Hackle Pheasant Jig fly is probably one of the first flies a Euro or Hybrid "nympher" should have.....that and a hare's ear. Of course, we all know how well a Pheasant Tail works, and combine that with a soft hackle and a peacock ice dub hot spot collar and you have one of the most deadly nymphs known to man....and possibly to aliens as well.
These are basic soft hackle Hare's Ear Nymphs with a healthy dark hen back hackle and a bit of ice dub on the collar for the hot spot. They are extremely good looking flies and flat out produce fish. This may become one of our best selling flies of all time.
Soft Pheasant Tail Jig flies are tied on Fulling Mill, barbless 50 degree jig hooks and feature a copper tungsten bead on the head. Sold here in sizes 10-14.
