The Fishpond Quickshot Rod Holder 2.0 is the closest thing to having a full time rod caddie on the water with you. A pack of GT’s at 2 o’clock 120’ out and they are coming in hot! Get that bonefish rod out of your hand and grab the 12wt that is neatly tucked onto the side of your pack. With the flip of the FidLock®, the switch has been made and it’s time to strip line, make the shot, and do battle. Having the right tool for the job when you need it is crucial for success. This is why we have designed a clean system that keeps your fully rigged rods fully secured, at the ready, and completely out of your way while fishing. From your favorite trout stream to far-off angling destinations, Fishpond has your success in mind.

* Updated from their first version, the new 2.0 Quikshot Rod Holder has an improved back attachment for using on Fishpond packs and on wader belts.
* Also updated from the previous version, the rod holder has been simplified to no longer use a magnetic release, which means strong winds and heavy reels won’t force the magnetic clasp open. The new side release buckle is stronger but still opens with the pinch of your fingers.
* Thermoformed molded rod holder cradles any size rod handle
* Webbing loop with a polytube overlay for holding the butt of a standard rod or a fighting butt
* Quik release buckle with webbing adjustment secures the rod handle into the rod cradle, and releases your fully rigged rod with just one quick pinch.
* Includes upper magnetic closure to add additional stability when using backpacks
* Adjustable back attachment system will attach to the molded tabs found on many Fishpond products, or to most Wader belts. The system can be adjsuted to fit to 30mm or 50mm width webbing.
* Compatible with the Thunderhead Submersible Backpack, Thunderhead Submersible Sling (not recommended for right hand casters), Thunderhead Submersible Lumbar Pack, Cutbank Gear Bag, and Windriver Roll-top Backpack. *All compaible pack models are 2018 or newer.
* 5.5" x 4.5" x .56"

Having a complete outfit is essential to your success out on the water. We've made it simple, so when you purchase the basics for your fly fishing outfit, we'll put it all together for you so you're ready to go.

Here's how it works:

• Purchase a Rod, Reel and Fly Line
• On the first page of the checkout process, click on the green Setup Reels/Outfits button (top and bottom of page).
• There you will find a tool where you can pair the three together and choose your backing color. No need to worry about the amount or size of backing as we'll take care of that for you. We know what to do.
• That's it!

From there, we'll load the appropriate amount and color of backing and the line on the reel for you (no need to buy backing). The backing, rigging and shipping is all on us. Free of charge.

Additional Information

• Fly Line Backing comes in 20lb and 30lb test. It also comes in white, fl. orange, blue, black, optic green, fl. yellow and red. Again, no need to make any decisions here other than what color you want.

• Reel retrieve is selected at the point of purchase on each reel. We will load the line onto the reel and make sure that the retrieve is set up as you selected.

• Feel free to call us or e-mail us with any questions as we will also do the same if we have any for you.

We're passionate about putting together the Fly Rod and Reel Outfit that's perfect for your time out on the water.

Let's get started:

• Select your fly rod
• Select your fly reel
• Select your fly line
• Open the Setup Reels/Outfits tool on the first page of checkout and pair the three items together. Simply choose your backing color.....and we'll do the rest!

Give us a call or email if you have any questions or rigging requests

It's really that simple. We aim to take all the hard work out of your fly fishing experience.
