No question, over the years, the Hare's Ear nymph has probably caught more fish than any other. Kelly Galloup just had to add his take and "improve" upon this legendary pattern and thus the Peacock Hare's Ear was born.
Kelly had been noticing that most commercially tied versions just weren't right.....so.....he changed it up a bit. 1st he replaced the guard hair tails with more appropriate and proportionate patridge fibers. A spikey hare's ear dubbed body is ribbed with fine flash for a more natural look and irredescence. Lastly, the wing case is out of peacock herl, which Kelly feels creates a more natural and prominent looking wing case....a very important feature on any nymph. Leave it to Kelly to improve on one of the top producing nymphs of all-time!!!
