Dirk's Mulberry Fly is one of the best that we have seen come down the pike. It has gained our guides official seal of approval. Most of them are WAY off the mark....but this one works.
Pretty simple fly, but it will fool the fish. Basically just some Estaz type material and a green squirmy behind to imitate a bit of branch that has come along for the fall. It has just the right amount of weight to get through the surface tension but not spook the fish.
Please note that the color is a bit more purple than shows here in the picture. Not quite so bright blue.
Not sure who Dirk is...but he created a pretty good berry fly that are guides are using.
