Kelly Galloup's Articulated Butt Monkey streamer here in the original Rust color. Of course a deadly trout fly but we also use it alot for largemouth and smallmouth bass. Has become one of our top selling streamers around here.
It's hard to imagine that you could improve on the original but articulating the Monkey did just that. The added S swim action of the articulated Butt Monkey is deadly on the big boys. The twin Magnum Rabbit Strips really make it happen on this version.
This fly is great on virtually any fish that swims in fresh water!!! A killer largemouth fly!
The Articulated Butt Monkey is tied on a size 2 Predator style for main hook with a slightly smaller trailer and red articulation beads in between. Sold here in the Rusty color variation but also available in olive and tan. This fly is approximately 5" long.
