The Echo 84B fly rods are some of the most exciting new rods to come along in years.....especially for "Midwestern" anglers. Our entire staff has been begging for these rods for years.....and Echo finally listened. Truly one of the best Bass and small stream Streamer rods ever made!

The 84B is Tim Rajeff’s answer to the need for a rod that can cast big flies accurately in adverse conditions. The rod was developed with bass anglers in mind and was tested extensively on smallies and largemouth. Of course, an excellent and much needed small stream Streamer rod as well.  Quick pickup and minimal false casting makes this the ultimate rod for ambush species, and a perfect choice for intermediate or sinking lines......but also excel with floating lines.

* 8'4" length (finally)
* Deep olive blank
* Flared full-wells grip (like Brian's favorite Echo Prime)
* Comes with a zippered cordura covered rod tube

The 84-B 8'4" 8wt here is a beast of a rod! Excels with intermediate or sink tip lines as well as sinking heads and full-sink lines. With a floating line, you'd want to go with something pretty aggressive....Bass, Predator or Outbound for example. Designed for heavy-duty bass and warmwater fishing and certainly enters into the Pike game....big-time! This rod weighs 4.0 Ounces.

Here's how it works:

• Purchase a Rod, Reel and Fly Line
• On the first page of the checkout process, click on the green Setup Reels/Outfits button (top and bottom of page).
• There you will find a tool where you can pair the three together and choose your backing color. No need to worry about the amount or size of backing as we'll take care of that for you. We know what to do.
• That's it!

From there, we'll load the appropriate amount and color of backing and the line on the reel for you (no need to buy backing). The backing, rigging and shipping is all on us. Free of charge.
