Belly Bumper- Galloup's

In our estimation, the Belly Bumper series of streamers may be one of  Kelly Galloup's greatest contributions to the sport of fly fishing, and that's saying ALOT. It's that good of a fly.

Our own Brian Flechsig touts it as his "Second favorite streamer of all-time".  A very close second to the beloved and now famous Swimmy Jimmy. This is one of the most important flies that we sell in the shop for virtually any fish that swims......trout, smallmouth, largemouth, wipers, stripers. Brian has even been using it on Redfish in New Orleans.

The Belly Bumpers are tied with an ingenious combination of materials and create an amazing profile in the water. But the real secret is the hook. The Belly Bumper Hook that Kelly developed with Montana Fly Company (vertical ring eye) allows the fly to track true in the water and gives it AMAZING action. Be sure to tie it on a non-slip loop knot and watch what happens. The "keel" style hook renders this fly virtually weedless as well.

These flies are weighted just right to help with the tracking and action so can be used with a floating line. We of course prefer them on a sink tip but that's not news.

Galloup's Belly Bumper streamer available here in the White coloration and sizes 1 or 2/0. The size 1 measure just shy of 4" and the 2/0 right around 4 3/4". The profile is similar on both.
