Umpqua STRATOS X Nylon Tippet is a gamechanger for dry-fly fishing. Crafted with a proprietary, low-density co-polymer, this tippet is 10% less dense than standard nylon, keeping your tippet floating higher on the surface for the best presentation.

Featuring a gray camo dye pattern, the tippet breaks down its outline for minimal visibility in the water, giving anglers an advantage when targeting even the most selective fish. Its ultra-soft, supple design allows the fly to drift naturally in micro currents.This nylon-based multi-polymer excels in abrasion resistance, surpassing many traditional fluorocarbon tippets. With low memory and high tensile strength, STRATOS X is as user-friendly as it is durable, making it an excellent choice for dry-fly anglers

Features/Benefits:

* Proprietary low-density co-polymer (10% less dense than standard nylon)
* Camo-dyed for maximum stealth and profile reduction
* Ultra-soft and supple for drag-free presentation
* Medium stretch for enhanced sensitivity and superb knot strength
* Low memory for ease of use
* High abrasion resistance for durability – matching many fluorocarbons
* 3X-7X sizes available
* 30 yards per spool

“Extremely supple and easy to knot, with surprising knot strength- whether using a blood knot or double surgeons. The camo color is perfect for shallow, thin water, eliminating the need to dye my tippets. I fish small flies (#18-26) and the new Stratos-X is the best I’ve fished…..ever.”- Craig Matthews
