The Echo Shadow X Fly Rod is a rod for elite-level competition euro nymph anglers coming in at 20% lighter than the Shadow II Series.
The Echo Shadow X Fly Rod is designed by and for competition anglers. Echo worked with veteran Euro Nymph guru Pete Erickson, 2018 fly fishing world champion Norm Maktima, and expert Mariusz Wrobewski to create a rod that is dialed-in to perform at the sport’s highest levels.
By using the most advanced high modulus graphite available to us, Echo was able to achieve the lightest rod Echo have ever produced. When you need to feel every nuance happening under the water, having the lightest, most sensitive rod you possibly can is the difference between 1st and 10th place.
Simply put: This is the most challenging project Echo has ever completed in their life as a rod company. Neither Echo nor their experts in the field would be satisfied without a rod that balanced a level of sensitivity not before thought possible while keeping its ability to achieve effective hook sets.

If you need to return an item for any reason:
- Simply follow the instructions that are provided with each order.
- Send us a quick e-mail, [email protected] and / or drop a note in the return package with the following information: Your name, Order Number, Item(s) and a quick note on reason for returning.
These instructions will also be printed on the return/address form. Please note that if it has been longer than 30 days, we will need to contact you to get a credit card number in order to apply for the credit. Please make sure that we get a good phone number in that case. - Drop the item in the Mail / UPS to us and that’s it – We’ll be looking for it!
We will be waiting for the item and will issue an immediate credit to your credit card account or you may leave the money on the store account for future purchases. If we don’t hear otherwise, the refund will go back on the exact card used for the transaction. *Note: If an item was not purchased via the internet, phone or the purchase was made more than 30 days previous, we will need to contact you to secure a means of credit.
