This weekend, we welcome back our old friend and head steelhead guide Greg Senyo! He’ll be around the shop from 10:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. showing folks how and why to use some of his new flies and new products. Then, from 2:00- 5:00 p.m. he’ll be giving a fly tying class for 6 students. As of right now, there are a few spots left in this class so if you are interested, please give us a call to get signed-up!

Click Here to learn more about Greg’s visit to Mad River Outfitters this weekend!

As a part of “Steelhead Month”….and to celebrate Greg’s visit……we will be offering a special coupon for 20% OFF ANY of Greg’s fly patterns at www.madriveroutfitters.com. Simply buy up a bunch of Greg’s flies…..and we’ll give you the discount. You can do this online by entering the coupon code: senyo…….or by stopping in the shop and buying them in person.

Here’s a quick listing and links to the Senyo flies that we carry in the shop:
* The Gangsta Intruder- Greg’s latest addition designed for “swinging” up aggressive steelhead

* Senyo’s Steak-N-Eggs- Greg’s brilliant contribution from a few years back that combines a nymph and an egg

* Senyo’s Wiggle Prince- The Prince Nymph has always been a favorite nymph for steelhead in the Erie region and Greg took this one and added the articulated tail which really seems to add to the hookups on this fly!

* Senyo’s Wiggle Stone- Of course, you can’t be without stonefly patterns in either Michigan or Ohio and this is a HOT pattern. Especially effective is the blue color when conditions turn colder.

* Senyo’s Ice Man Minnow- when this fly came out, it started a revolution of streamer/swing style fishing for steelhead here in the region. It is still a great seller and a hot fly for us here at the shop.

* Senyo’s Trout Parr- another great streamer fly from Greg that works great on both steelhead and trout.

Use coupon code: senyo  on the 1st page of checkout and get 20% OFF any of the flies listed below.

For those of you in the region- we hope that you can stop by and see Greg this Saturday- October 26th.

Thanks for reading and more coupons and informative Blogs coming over the next few weeks. Stay tuned!

Also big news from Scott-

Jeff Liskay and Greg Senyo join team Scott!

A Scott fan for a long time, he is one of the most talented anglers we know. Jeff has earned a top reputation as a 2H instructor and angler. He has covered the entire Great Lakes area searching for steelhead and has now branched into Alaska, the Pacific NW, and British Columbia. Jeff is also a pro with Ross and SA and a Patagonia Fishing Ambassador. Jeff has been working with Mad River Outfitters as a guide and instructor for many years now and also hosts our annual Alaska Trip every July. Congrats Jeff….or should we say…..congrats Scott!

Mr. Greg Senyo needs no intruduction….and Scott is surely proud to have him as part of their pro-staff. Greg is one of the most innovative fly tyers around and also the owner/operator of Steelhead Alley Outfitters. Mad River Outfitters has been working with Greg and his crew for about 6 years now and they do most of our steelhead guide trips in the Erie region. Just like he does wherever he goes, Greg will bring alot to the table for the Scott Rod Company. Don’t miss his visit to Mad River Outfitters on Saturday, October 26th!
