He’s been there. Done that. And not only gotten all the t-shirts, he’s been on a bunch of them too. That’s what happens when you’re a fishing legend – and there’s no other way to describe Flip Pallot.
Ever since the day he peeled off his banker’s suit and switched to Bermuda shorts, Flip’s been writing his own script in life. For 12 years he was in non-stop demand as a fishing guide and guru in Florida’s Keys and Glades. When a hurricane wiped him out, he switched rigs and founded Hell’s Bay Boatworks which continues to thrive today. Next it was TV stardom as host of the groundbreaking Walker’s Cay Chronicles. And, later, a turn as a best-selling author.
And every step of the way, Flip’s good humor, great insight and unparalleled passion for fishing have defined his success.
Kelly Galloup
One of the most recognized names in the modern fly fishing and fly tying arena. Also, one it's most dynamic personalities as well!
Known as the Father of Modern Streamer Fishing, he is the author of "Modern Streamers for Trophy Trout", "Modern Streamers for Trophy Trout II" and "Cripples and Spinners". Host of Fly Fish TV, star of countless videos and more recently, host of the popular Slide Inn YouTube Channel. He is also the owner of the Slide Inn and North Slide Fly Shops, lodges and guide services along the Madison River in Montana.....after many years as the owner of the famous "Troutsman" shop in Traverse City, Michigan.
Brian and Kelly have been close friends and business asscosciates for over 35 years now. They met in 1990 when Kelly was a guide on a trip that Brian was hosting on the Pere Marquette River. A solid friendship was born and the two have been working and fishing together since with no signs of slowing down.
We are honored that Kelly is taking time away from his shop duties in Montana to join us for this very special weekend!
Brian Flechsig
Joining Flip and Kelly (and Bob) will be the founder and owner of one of the largest fly fishing outfitters in the country, Brian Flechsig of Mad River Outfitters. Brian is the host of the wildly popular Mad River Outfitters YouTube Channel , author, fly designer and a veteran instructor. Not to mention, of course, he's a world-class fly angler with well over 40 years of experience......35 of those in the fly fishing industry.
Brian and Flip began working together well over 20 years ago when they filmed a mess of episodes of the Walker's Cay Chronicles together. A solid friendship was easily formed and the two men began teaching schools like this at various locations. They also conducted many trips together including their famous "Florida Sampler Trips".
Brian and Kelly first met on the banks of the Pere Marquette River in 1990. Kelly was a guide on a trip that Brian was hosting there, and a solid friendship was formed. They have been fishing and collaborating since.

Bob Clouser
Yet another angling legend who really needs no introduction.......
Best known for creating one of the most versatile and widely used fly patterns — the Clouser Deep Minnow — Clouser also has inspired countless fly anglers with his fishing prowess, casting ability and innovative fly tying. He is the author of Clouser’s Flies and Fly Fishing for Smallmouth in Rivers and Streams, and has appeared in numerous instructional videos and television segments.
“Bob is a child of nature, which makes him a keen observer and an amazing angler and hunter,” says Flip Pallot, who hosted The Walker’s Cay Chronicles television show and has led a life immersed in hunting, fishing and conservation. “His ability to see things in nature that are invisible to others is unique.”
“Bobby knows the Susquehanna better than anyone alive,” said fly-fishing legend Lefty Kreh in late 2017. (Kreh died in March 2018.) “His fly-tying and casting skills are second to none. I can’t tell you how much fun we’ve had fishing together around the world. He’s a natural innovator.”

You should plan on arriving in Orlando (or Daytona) during the day on Friday, June 30th and renting a car. Of course, you can arrive earler if desired. The festivities will begin around 6:30 at Flip's house in Mims so give yourself enough time to get from Orlando (or Daytona), get situated in your hotel room and grab a quick bite to eat.
Friday night, the group will meet at Flip's house around 6:30 p.m. for check-in and meet-and-greet. On hand will be Flip and Diane Pallot, Brian Flechsig, Kelly Galloup and Bob Clouser. Around 7:00 p.m. we'll have an official orientation and go over the plan for the weekend. We'll then have some more Frigate Reserve Rum, Flip, Brian, Kelly and Bob will tell some stories (Lefty surely to be a topic) and wrap things up around 9:00 p.m.
On Saturday, we'll convene at 9:00 a.m., at the Renzetti Company factory in nearby Titusville and get the ball rolling. The morning session will include: "Modern Rods, Reels and LInes" seminar by Flip, Brian and Kelly and then the famous "Modern Streamers" seminar by Kelly.
Lunch on Saturday will be from approximately Noon- 1 p.m. and will be basic sandwiches and fixins.
After lunch Flip and Brian will conduct their now famous Knots and Leaders seminar, which is of course a highlight of these weekends. Brian and Kelly will also get into advanced rigging techniques for streamers and nymphs. Then at around 2:00 Kelly will do a fly tying demo, showing some of his favorite streamers and of course, discuss how he fishes them.
Then from 3:00 to 5:00 we'll conduct a fly casting clinic with all three instructors doing a demo. Students will then get to practice with Flip, Brian and Kelly making the rounds and offering suggestions on improvement. You'll want to have a rod and reel set-up with a leader for this class.
Sunday morning we will again meet at Renzetti at 9:00 a.m. and we'll start off with more fly casting outside. Kelly and Brain will conduct a seminar on "Casting Sinking Lines and throwing large flies" and Flip will add in some advanced techniques such as casting in the wind and a few other tricks.
At around 11:00 or so, we will head back inside (air conditioning) and Flip, Brian and Kelly will conduct a discussion on modern flies and fly design. A great chance to learn more about their favorite flies and how they fish them. A great time for Q & A as well!
Lunch will again be provided around Noon, and will be grilled up by Flip and Brian on Flip's famous Traeger grill and will most likely feature some game that he harvested himself. We will be joined at lunch by Bob Clouser. This will certainly be a celebratory meal!
After lunch, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Bob Clouser will do a fly tying demonstration and talk about some of his famous fly patterns. A great chance to watch him tie his famous Clouser Minnow, up close and personal.
From 2:00- 3:00 p.m. we will leave open for general Q & A and stories. If you know this group of anglers, there are PLENTY of stories!
At 3:00 p.m. we will close the school, take some group photos and dismiss the group. You can then head to the airport or back to your hotel, depending on your travel arrangements.

This weekend event will be held at Flip's house in Mims, Florida and the Renzetti Company Factory in Titusville, Florida. Mims is located about 45 miles East of Orlando and Titusville is just a few miles South. We will of course provide you with the address and directions on where to be for the festivities on Friday night and of course to the Renzetti Factory for Saturday and Sunday.
Will be best to fly into Orlando and rent a car. You will need to get back and forth from your hotel as well as drive to the "casting location" on Saturday and Sunday. We will be providing recommendations on local lodging as well for your convenience.
