Ultra Thread 140 denier nylon fly tying thread is a good general purpose thread that is also a perfect size for beginners tying trout flies. Our #1 selling thread for Wooly Buggers for example. Recommended for size 6-14 flies or so.

This thread lies flat for less build up....a preferred thread by many pro tyers. A wonderful thread for the split thread dubbing technique! Ultra thread 140 denier has a breaking strength of 2lbs.
