The Semperfli Kapok Dry Fly Dubbing Natural Dispenser includes 12 natural/earthy dubbing colors that have been defined to produce the best dry fly dubbing available in the market.
Individual Kapok Dry Fly Dubbing Natural Dispenser fibers are on average 1.8cm/0.7inch, with diameters of 30 to 36 micrometers (a micrometer is about 0.00004 inch) making it finer than even the smallest superfine dubbing, indeed Half the thickness of superfine dubbings on the market but with its unique extreme buoyancy.
This dispenser comes in Semperfli’s low profile dubbing boxes. Each compartment contains the same amount of dubbing that you get in a standard dubbing dispenser.
Kapok Dubbing is the ultimate in dubbing for your fishing flies as it is very buoyant. Indeed it is known as life jackets for flies! Kapok is a natural hollow fiber that when Kapok Dubbing is dubbed into split thread it retains its buoyancy and will help your dry flies float better than any other natural dubbing- it is Half the thickness of superfine dubbing!
Some tyers refer to it as instant moles fur or moles fur in different colors as its rather similar with a very short fiber. It is absolutely ideal for tiny dry flies and great for nymphs. It provides perfect definition on small flies instead of an explosion of bulky traditional dubbing on a small hook.
Kapok (Ceiba pentandra) is a natural fiber, it has been available for many years growing throughout the tropics where it is cultivated for its fibers. It is a moisture-resistant, quick drying, resilient, and buoyant fibers and weighs only one-eighth as much as cotton. Kapok has historically been used in life jackets and life boats, supporting as much as 30 times its own weight in water.

If you need to return an item for any reason:
- Simply follow the instructions that are provided with each order.
- Send us a quick e-mail, [email protected] and / or drop a note in the return package with the following information: Your name, Order Number, Item(s) and a quick note on reason for returning.
These instructions will also be printed on the return/address form. Please note that if it has been longer than 30 days, we will need to contact you to get a credit card number in order to apply for the credit. Please make sure that we get a good phone number in that case. - Drop the item in the Mail / UPS to us and that’s it – We’ll be looking for it!
We will be waiting for the item and will issue an immediate credit to your credit card account or you may leave the money on the store account for future purchases. If we don’t hear otherwise, the refund will go back on the exact card used for the transaction. *Note: If an item was not purchased via the internet, phone or the purchase was made more than 30 days previous, we will need to contact you to secure a means of credit.
