Jeff Liskay is truly one of the masters of the 2-handed spey/switch rod game. He is an ambassador for the Patagonia Company and also a Scientific Anglers and Scott Fly Rod pro staff member. He also happens to be one of Mad River Outfitters steelhead guides and works with Brian and Jerry Darkes teaching the Midwest Fly Fishing Schools. We are honored to offer up Jeff's expertise and skills to our clients for this very special event.
Saturday, October 22nd- Mad River Outfitters- 101
* 9 a.m.- 12 p.m.- Switch and Spey rods, lines and rigging- classroom with Jeff
* 1 hour lunch break
* 1 p.m.- 4 p.m.- Basic Swich and Spey casting on local water- with Jeff and Ryan Ratliff
This seminar will be held at Mad River Outfitters in Columbus and will cost $75.00 for the full-day. This can be purchased alone or as a 101/102 package which includes the Sunday seminar as well. This class is limited to 8 anglers.
Attendees are welcome to bring their own gear but if not, we can provide. We will also be offering some great "package deals" to folks who are interested in purchasing Switch/Spey gear of their own after the class.
Sunday, October 23rd- Grand River- 102
* 9 a.m.- 3 p.m.- Spend a day on the water with Jeff Liskay on the Grand River in Ohio. You will spend time casting, learning and fishing in hopes of actually catching a steelhead. This seminar will be held on the Grand River East of Cleveland, Ohio and will cost $125.00 per student. This can be purchased alone or as a 101/102 package which includes the Saturday seminar as well. This class is limited to 8 nglers.
Attendees are welcome to bring their own gear but if not, we can provide. We will also be offering some great "package deals" to folks who are interested in purchasing Switch/Spey gear of their own after the class. You will need to bring along some waders as you will be in the water actually practicing/fishing.
