Then, to reduce wear and make socks last longer, Filson added nylon, but only to the outer surface of the sock- especially in the heel and toe. A special knitting technique makes this possible. This is the midweight version in the 18" length designed to increase comfort with pac boots, ski boots and waders. These are awesome socks that will last you years and years.
