Temple Fork Outfitters Two-Handed Spey Type Fly Rods
The modern two handed rod has evolved into a much more versatile fishing tool than the Scots of long ago had in mind when they fashioned rods made of Greenheart wood of up to 20 feet long. Today the two handed rod is used for everything from fishing salmon and steelhead to saltwater applications such as surf casting. Skagit casting has proven to be a very effective method for taking steelhead. The lighter, shorter two handed rods are perfect for pursuing trout and for overhead applications such as casting from jetties or wading the surf.
Temple Fork Outfitters Professional series two-handed rods are medium fast action rods available from an 11' 5wt to a 15' 10wt. They have added two Scandinavian style rods, a 13'9" 9/10wt and a 14'9" 10/11 wt plus a 13'3" 8wt rod specifically designed for Skagit style fishing. The 12' 12wt (AFFTA rated) TiCr is a fast action rod designed for overhead line launching.
All two handed rods come with a case.
