The Freedom 12 represents the second generation of Freedom Hawk Kayaks, taking Stand-Up Kayak Fishing to the most economical level.
Unlike the Freedom 14, this fishing machine features a redesigned patented outrigger system now giving the angler a choice of 3 positions. It paddles like a conventional kayak when they are in the in-line position. Position two (Y shape) offers maximum stability for fishing or rigging a rod. The third position fully extends the outriggers into an in-line position for a combination of stability and efficiency of movement. Now you can stalk fish from a stand-up paddle, poling or motor position with less drag and water movement or to gain additional paddling stability in more challenging conditions. Some anglers refer to it as "training wheels for your kayak."
At just over 70 pounds and only 12 feet long, this boat is both easy to maneuver on and off the water. This boat comes standard with inserts on the hull for mounting an optional motor mount and battery case, making this one of the best values in motorized fishing kayaks.
