Patagonia built the Guidewater Waders to be the toughest, most puncture-resistant, waterproof/breathable wader on the market. They feature our completely redesigned internal suspension system that allows relief without removing jacket or vest. We have also completely re-engineered the fit of our booties eliminating the seam over the instep; the result is a far superior sock-like fit.
Of course, they couldn't just stop there. Nope. They also had to be extremely lightweight while offering a groundbreaking level of comfort and convenience. In other words, the ultimate wader. We started by strategically placing varying weights of our proprietary waterproof/breathable polyester microfiber fabric package with H2No® Hydrostorm barrier according to specific breathability or toughness needs. The result? Max durability and flexibility without resorting to excessive heavy, sweat-trapping multiple layers. Their revolutionary merino wool grid-lined neoprene booties wick perspiration and create guilt-inducing levels of foot comfort. The most advanced version of our innovative internal suspension system allows easy conversion to waist height and - this is critical - quick relief without having to remove your jacket or fight sticky zippers. More features: sculpted upper for reduced drag in heavy currents, anatomically designed left and right legs and booties, built in fabric gravel guards with abrasion-resistant scuff zones and high-filtration mesh drain strip. 3-layer H2No® fabrics are waterproof and breathable by virtue of an advanced combination of elements: a water-repellent shell fabric, a waterproof barrier and an interior scrim fabric. This fabric package is completely waterproof, windproof, breathable and very durable.
Technology
H2No® Barrier is Patagonia's standard for 100% waterproof and breathable protection in our shell garments. H2No is created by adding a waterproof and breathable laminate or coating to a high performance protective fabric. This fabric package blocks wind and water on the outside while allowing water vapor generated by your body to escape – keeping you warm, dry and comfortable.
