Abel Super Series #11 Fly Reel
The Abel Super 11 fly reel is for 10 and 11wt lines. The Super 11 interchanges with the 4N AND the Super 9 spool/frame. The lightest reel in its class, this is the baby for small billfish, Mako shark, tarpon, yellowfin tuna, and all other big, fast fish. Fantastic if you need just a bit more backing
* Since 2007, all Super Series reels size 6 and larger and all Big Game reels size 3N and larger have been fitted with the new Double Pawl system. Two pawls instead of one are a bit more reliable when big fish are headed for the horizon; but the best thing is the really neat sound they make. The Abel Super 11 fly reel weighs 8.9 ounces. It will hold 275 yards of 30lb backing with a 10wt line and 250 yards with an 11wt.
