We love fishing soft hackles....and for good reason!!! We don't always fish them in the "traditional" way though. More often than not we are bouncing them along the bottom and many times as part of a tandem rig.
Here is a mega, bead head soft hackle in the necessary olive color. This has really turned out to be a great fly and is a top pick for us here on the Mad River in Ohio.
Try this.....use the Bead Head Soft Hackle as your top fly and run a standard soft hackle about 18" or so behind it. Put some split-shot above the bead head depending on the water depth and speed. You will soon find out why we love this fly!!!!
