Fly Reel
After the great success that Abel achieved with the Super 3N - 6N reels, dealers and customers then asked for a lighter reel for 7 and 8wt rods that picks up line even faster than current models. They listened, and engineered the answer with their lightest, yet still fastest line retrieval 7/8wt reel they have ever produced.
The changes included narrowing the spool width, increasing the hub arbor and spool diameter, and designing a finished reel that is about 1.5 ounces lighter than their previous Super 8 reel. They also incorporated a new outgoing click feature that is similar to their proven Quick Change design, and redesigned the drag knob for even better fingertip control when it gets wet or cold.
